Welcome to 2017, darlings! The New Year means a fresh start. Maybe you plan to work on your fitness, read more, or travel the globe. Those are all great resolutions that we hope you crush!  While you’re ditching the old and ringing in the new, that new should extend to all aspects of your life, including your home.

Some experts chimed in on the luxurious home trends for 2017 that can’t be missed! Peruse at your pleasure, then contact the Miami home interior design company Perla Lichi to transform your home. Prepare yourself for a bright year filled with cheery colors and mixed patterns!

Bright Green – Named the 2017 Pantone Color of the Year, “Greenery” is the cheery shade of green you’ll see in home decor, fashion and commercial design. It’s meant to represent refreshment and revitalization. Other hot colors include earthy shades like Kale and Hazelnut, a warm nude, in addition to vibrant shades like Lapis Blue, a vivid jewel tone and Flame, a fiery orange.

Mixed Metals – Think brass and chrome, silver and polished nickel, antique brass and oil-rubbed bronze. Accents such as abstract pendants and lamps or metal vases and trays are easy ways to update a space with a sleek vibe.

Mixed Patterns – This trend was first spotted at New York Fashion Week in fall 2016 and will appear in tons of home decor this year.

Texture, texture, texture – Don’t go crazy and toss the flat screen television, but upgrade your furniture to include pleating and folding of velvets and cottons or huge stitches made of beautiful luxe yarns.

Terracotta – Warm materials such as terracotta tiles will replace currently popular cool and white tones.

Cork – That’s right, we said cork. It’s not exactly thought of as a luxe material…until now! Not only is cork a stylish material idea, but it adds warmth and texture to spaces. The unique material can make for a creative accent wall, too.
