Go Greenery

Being able to bring the outdoors in can add just the right touch to the interior of luxury homes. “You can soften the perimeter of a room with plants and now, with this lovely color, you can add life to your rooms,” Perla says.
The trend goes beyond just color, Perla says. “What’s really new and what offers some wonderful possibilities, is the way you can use greeneries – large tropical leaves, lush ferns, elegant bamboo – on their own. Flowers are always nice – I mean, who doesn’t like flowers? – but greens on their own make a statement all their own. It can produce a very sophisticated effect.”
According to Pantone, Greenery is nature’s neutral; a life-affirming shade, emblematic of the pursuit of personal passions and vitality. “The more submerged people are in modern life, the greater their innate craving to immerse themselves in the physical beauty and inherent unity of the natural world,” the color experts report. “This shift is reflected by the proliferation of all things expressive of Greenery in daily lives through urban planning, architecture, lifestyle and design choices globally. A constant on the periphery, Greenery is now being pulled to the forefront – it is an omnipresent hue around the world.”
