Custom furniture plays an integral role for our high end interior design firm. This high net worth client has a large home and a large family. He loves to entertain family, friends, and business associates regularly. Needless to say, price was no object when it came to any area of his magnificent residence. But he especially wanted an opulent formal dining room where he could entertain large groups at sit down dinner parties.
We had to meet his specifications in a relatively small space. We came up with the idea of an X-shaped formal dining table enhanced with custom detailing including marquetry. The client wanted the dining table to seat up to 24 people very comfortably AND for all of them to be able to join in the conversation. We completed the interior design of this formal dining room by adding wall detailing enhanced with silver leaf, gorgeous upholstered dining chairs, elaborate window treatments using the finest custom fabrics, and more. We crowned the room with a custom ceiling design with silver leaf and custom lighting effects. The ceiling design mimics the X shape of the table.
The client was delighted with our creation and also the quality of the technical execution of this magnificent table. We can only imagine the fabulous sit-down dinner parties that have since taken place in this luxurious, opulent ambiance. Hmmmmmm…
